What "Family Chiropractic" Actually Means at Sláinte
Family chiropractic isn't a marketing label — it is a clinical commitment. It means the doctor adjusting your two-day-old is the same doctor adjusting you, with the same analysis, the same standards, and the same goal: a nervous system that can do what it was designed to do. Babies aren't scaled-down adults, and pregnant moms aren't "regular patients with extra weight." Real family chiropractic means specific training, specific technique, and specific scans for every season.

Your First Visit
What to Expect
Whether it's you, your baby, your toddler, or the whole household — the rhythm is the same.
Tell Us About Your Family
Who is coming in, what is going on, and what you actually want from care. We listen before we recommend anything.
Scans & Gonstead Analysis
Each person gets an INSiGHT nervous system scan and a Gonstead exam appropriate for their age. Findings drive recommendations, never the other way around.
Clear Recommendations, Per Person
We explain what we found for each family member and whether chiropractic is the right fit. If it isn't, we will say so.
The consultation is free. The first visit is $150 (INSiGHT scans included). X-rays, if clinically necessary, are $200 additional.
Things Families Ask
Family Chiropractic FAQ
Do you really see everyone in the family?
Yes. Sláinte cares for pregnancy and postpartum moms, newborns and infants, toddlers and kids, and adults under one roof. The Gonstead method is precise enough to be adapted at every age — newborn adjustments use only fingertip pressure; adult adjustments use the appropriate force for adult joints. The analysis is the same; the technique adapts.
How young can a baby be adjusted?
Babies can be checked at any age — including the first few days of life. Many families bring newborns in within the first week postpartum, particularly if there were any birth interventions or feeding/latch concerns. Infant adjustments use very gentle, specific pressure — about the amount you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato.
Should the whole family come in at once?
You don't have to, but many families find it easier. Siblings can be seen back-to-back, and we will work with your schedule. Most family visits are quick once you are an established patient.
Do we each need our own care plan?
Yes — care plans are individualized based on each person's scan and exam findings. A pregnant mom, a colicky newborn, and a kid with sensory challenges have very different needs, even in the same family. We build a separate plan per person and explain how each one fits your overall family schedule.
What makes Sláinte different from other family chiropractors in Jacksonville?
Three things: (1) the Gonstead method — specific, hands-on analysis instead of generic adjustments; (2) neurological focus with INSiGHT scans on every patient, so care is measured, not guessed; and (3) a family lineage — Dr. Bridget is a third-generation Gonstead chiropractor, and both doctors are pregnancy and pediatric trained. The whole practice is built around families, not retrofitted for them.
