Pediatric Chiropractic
Pediatric Chiropractor in Jacksonville, FL
Babies are not scaled-down adults. Kids are not problems to manage. Pediatric chiropractic at Sláinte starts with a single question: how is the nervous system functioning? — and then uses gentle, specific, age-appropriate care to support it. Dr. Vin is a DICCP and CACCP pediatric chiropractor; Dr. Bridget is third-generation Gonstead. We don't guess. We measure.

What Is Pediatric Chiropractic?
Pediatric chiropractic is the analysis and gentle adjustment of an infant or child's spine and nervous system using techniques specifically designed for their stage of development. It is not a scaled-down version of adult chiropractic — it is its own training pathway, with its own scans, its own analysis criteria, and adjustments delivered with the pressure of a fingertip. The goal is the same one that runs through everything we do: support the nervous system so the body can do what it was designed to do.
"Chiropractic care for children is gentle, safe, and developmentally appropriate. Doctors of chiropractic with advanced training adapt their examination and adjustment techniques to the size, age, and individual needs of each child."

The Credentials Behind the Care
In Jacksonville, very few chiropractors hold the deepest pediatric credentials. Both of ours do.
DICCP & CACCP
Dr. Vin holds the highest pediatric chiropractic credentials — DICCP (Diplomate, ICPA) and CACCP — a multi-year postdoctoral pediatric program.
Webster Certified
Both doctors are Webster Technique certified — meaning care begins in pregnancy and continues seamlessly through newborn and early childhood.
INSiGHT Scans
Every pediatric patient gets an INSiGHT nervous system scan. Objective data, age-appropriate, non-invasive — so we don't guess.
Third-Generation Family
Dr. Bridget grew up inside this work. Her family has cared for kids and families using the Gonstead method for 80 years.
Why Families Bring Their Children to Sláinte
We are not claiming to treat these conditions. We are addressing the nervous-system function that often shows up alongside them. These are the patterns families come to us for most often:
- Colic, reflux, and gassy newborns
- Difficulty latching or breastfeeding
- Sleep struggles at every age
- Chronic or recurring ear infections
- Constipation in babies and toddlers
- Behavior, focus, and sensory regulation challenges
- Delayed or atypical motor milestones
- Kids who get sick often or take a long time to bounce back

Your Child's First Visit
What to Expect
Calm, unrushed, and built around what is normal for kids — not a sterile clinical setting.
Tell Us Your Child's Story
Birth history, current symptoms, what you have already tried, and what you want from care. We listen before we recommend anything.
Age-Appropriate Scans & Exam
Non-invasive INSiGHT scans and a Gonstead pediatric exam — sized to your child. Kids can sit on a parent's lap, watch a show, or be held the whole time.
Clear Recommendations
We explain what we found in plain English. If pediatric chiropractic is a fit, we'll lay out the plan. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too.
The consultation is free. The first visit is $150 (INSiGHT scans included). X-rays, if clinically necessary, are $200 additional.
Things Parents Ask
Pediatric Chiropractic FAQ
Is chiropractic safe for babies and children?
Yes. Pediatric chiropractic uses very gentle, specific pressure that is matched to the child's size and stage of development. Infant adjustments use about the same amount of pressure you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato. The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) trains and certifies chiropractors specifically in safe pediatric techniques. Dr. Vincent Farrar holds the DICCP (Diplomate, ICPA) and CACCP (Certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics), the deepest pediatric chiropractic credentials available.
How young can a baby be adjusted?
Babies can be checked any time after birth — many families bring newborns in within the first week. Birth itself, especially with interventions like vacuum, forceps, or a long pushing stage, can introduce tension into a newborn's spine and cranium. A gentle, specific newborn check is one of the most common reasons families come to us.
What kinds of things do families bring their kids in for?
Most commonly: colic, reflux, latch and feeding issues in babies; chronic ear infections; sleep difficulties; behavior, focus, or sensory challenges; and overall nervous-system support for kids who get sick often. We are not treating those conditions directly — we are addressing the nervous-system function that often shows up alongside them.
What credentials do you have to work with kids?
Dr. Vincent Farrar is a Diplomate of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (DICCP) and is CACCP-certified — together, the highest pediatric chiropractic credentials in the field. Dr. Bridget Farrar is Webster Technique certified and a third-generation Gonstead chiropractor — her family has cared for kids and families for 80 years. Both doctors continue ICPA-track education annually.
Will my pediatrician be okay with this?
You don't need a referral, and we work alongside pediatricians — not instead of them. Chiropractic care addresses nervous system function and structural alignment; your pediatrician addresses the broader medical picture. We are happy to communicate with your child's pediatric team when that is helpful.
